For everyone going places

Moving people, moving forward.

Making public transport great for our environment, economy and communities

As the Tyne and Wear Passenger Transport Executive, we work on behalf of the North East Mayoral Strategic Authority, to create travel networks that people will enjoy using now and for decades to come.

Our impact is everywhere

Look around you — the work we do is never far away

Bus

Bus services in Tyne and Wear are provided by commercial operators who define and operate just over 80% of routes. We monitor bus service performance and fund and manage the remaining routes. We also own and manage a number of bus stations across the region.
