We’re committed to fairness and inclusivity, and only accept applications or CVs for advertised job vacancies. We don’t accept speculative CVs.
We follow a standard, rigorous recruitment procedure for all our jobs. Let’s take you through it step by step.
Job advertisement
We advertise all jobs in the 'Vacancies' section of this website. You can browse all vacancies or search by category/key words.
Application
You’ll complete an application form unless the job posting specifies otherwise. Your application will be reviewed after the closing date on the advert. If you’re selected for the next stage, we’ll contact you. If you don’t hear anything from us within six weeks, unfortunately your application has been unsuccessful.
Assessments
For some jobs, we’ll ask you to complete a suite of psychometric assessments. You can find more about these at our partner website www.shl.com. Afterwards we’ll email to let you know whether or not you’ve been selected for interview.
Interview
The interview format and questions will be designed around the role you’re applying for. You’ll be asked competence-based questions which will help us to assess your skills, behaviours and capabilities.
Medicals
All Nexus employees must comply with our drugs and alcohol policy. Anyone who refuses to comply will not be considered for employment with us.
People applying for safety-critical posts must undergo a pre-appointment medical assessment and drugs and alcohol test. All other applicants must complete a medical questionnaire and sign a statement to confirm that they understand the drugs and alcohol policy and intend to comply.
References
All job offers are made on the condition that we receive two satisfactory references for you. As part of our recruitment process, prospective employees may be subject to background checking before joining us. This may include passing your personal information on to a third party. We do this securely in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations.

If you’re the successful candidate, we’ll make a job offer to you. This will specify the salary, benefits and location for the job.
