Shields Ferry services cancelled on Sunday due to Storm Boelo
The Shields Ferry service will be suspended on Sunday, 25 October, due to Storm Boelo forecast to hit the region this weekend.

The temporary closure will be in place all day on Sunday as a safety precaution due to a Yellow warning of strong wind and heavy rain issued by the Met Office.

A half hourly replacement bus service will be running between the two Shields Ferry landings via the Tyne tunnel.

Ferry services are scheduled to resume as usual on Monday 26 October. Visit the Travel North East website for the latest travel updates.
