A small, grassroots bar selling local craft beers with regular live music and a warm Whitley Bay welcome.

With outdoor seating, under the cover of the station’s newly refurbished roof and a cosy inside bar, it’s no surprise The Ticket Office is a firm local favourite.

Owner Amanda said: “We’ve been here for six years, and during that time the station has been restored beautifully, and we really feel like part of the local community.

“We see a wide range of people coming through, some use the Metro and some don’t, some stay for a quick half and some stay until closing time. Everyone’s welcome here.”
